Dr. Musinguzi Moses, the GIS Specialist at PEC, has over 18 years of experience in LIS/GIS applications including spatial database design, spatial data quality assessment, GIS manipulation and satellite image processing. Dr. Musinguzi, who graduated in 1994 with a Bachelors degree in Surveying from Makerere University, holds a Masters degree in Geographical Information Systems from Nottingham University, UK and a PhD in GIS from Uppsala University, Sweden.
He has held different offices of responsibility including lecturing GIS at Makerere University, working as information systems analyst for the wetlands inspection division and is currently, the secretary to the technical committee for developing the National Land Information Systems for Uganda.
Dr. Musinguzi has also accomplished a number of technical assignments, the most recent being implementation of utility GIS for Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Ltd (UETCL), technical input into the drafting of the new land information system law in Uganda, developing a GIS for Ministry of Works and Transport, development of a GIS based national wetlands information system, guidelines and procedures for systematic demarcation of land in Uganda, GIS for the integration of utility networks in Uganda, and supporting GIS activities for Iganga demographic surveillance site.
