Mr. Moses Kagoda, the Manager, Environment department, has over 20 years experience in environmental management, with 14 years of experience in the area of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Auditing (EA). Mr. Kagoda holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nairobi, Kenya and Master of Science degree in Environmental and Resource Assessment from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.
He has extensive experience working on EIA, Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), and Environmental Audits training & consultancy with Government, International NGOs, National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), Makerere University Institute of Environment and Natural Resources (MUIENR) and the private business sector, including the roads sub-sector, hydropower and thermal power plants, oil and gas exploration, mining, industries and agriculture.
He has also participated on NEMA EIA training workshops for district technical and local government staff. He has, in particular, facilitated SEA and its inclusion in district development plans (DDPs) for various districts in the country.
Mr. Kagoda’s extensive experience and professional competence is therefore a significant asset at the core of PEC’s human resources.
