Construction supervision of Road Upgrading and Junction Improvement Works in Kampala City under Batch 1A, KIIDP2 – Junctions: Signalisation of 10 Junctions (1 at Fairway, 3 at Kira Road, 1 at Bwaise, 3 at Makerere Hill Road and 2 at Bakuli-Nakulabye-Kasubi Road) and 2 independent pedestrian crossings Links: Kiira Road, Mambule Road, Makerere Hill Road, Bakuli-Nakulabye-Kasubi Road, Nsalo Road, Kyadondo Road (9.26 Km)

The project involved the Supervision of Construction Works for road upgrading, road reconstruction and improvement of Junctions as follows: • Fairway JCT: 0.52Km of Main Alignment was dualled to 4 lanes; plus 0.49Km of Main Junction Legs; • Segment of Kira Road 1.1Km of main alignment was dualled to 4 lanes; plus 0.53Km length of Main Junction Legs; • Mambule Road 0.62Km length upgraded to Bitumen Standard; • Bwaise Junction 0.43Km length of Main Alignment was dualled to 4 lanes; plus 0.15Km of Main Junction Legs; • Makerere Hill Road: 1.62 Km of Main Alignment was dualled to 4 lanes plus 0.6Km of Main Junction Legs; • Bakuli-Nakulabye-Kasubi Road: 2.23Km of Main Alignment was dualled to 4 lanes; plus 0.56Km of Main Junction Legs; • Nsalo Road 0.35Km of single carriageway road was reconstructed to Bitumen Standard; • Kyadondo Road: 0.42Km of single carriageway road was reconstructed to bitumen standard; and • Signalisation of 12 Junctions (1 at Fairway, 3 at Kira Road, 1 at Bwaise, 5 at Makerere Hill Road and 2 at Bakuli-Nakulabye-Kasubi Road) The paving material for all the roads was Asphalt Concrete. The total length of road sections whose capacity was improved (dualled) is 5.9Km
