Consultancy Services for the Design and Construction Supervision of Bushenyi Water Supply and Sanitation Project

The Project covered Ishaka-Bushenyi municipality, and town councils of Kabwohe- Itendero, Kitagata and Bugongi: with the contract works including the following: • Engineering detailed design and supervision of construction works which comprised of: • Kitagata water treatment works of 3,150m3/day capacity (for Phase 1) with river raw water abstraction, and process including clarification, cadmium removal and disinfection with associated electromechanical works. • Rehabilitation of Nyaruzinga Water Treatment Plant (2,000m3/day capacity) including electromechanical improvements • Pipelaying of 23Km Transmission network (DN 200 – 300mm pipeline) and design of additional 48Km transmission and distribution network of uPVC/HDPE. • Installation of 2Nr. Steel Reservoirs of 1,600m3 capacity with booster station (Kikuba) and 90m3 (Ibanga) capacity • Design of sewer networks and sanitation ponds for Kitagata, Ishaka, Bushenyi and Kabwohe Towns. • Preparation of Tender documents and assistance in Bidding Evaluation for the construction of Phase 1 of the Bushenyi - Sheema Water Supply and Sanitation.
