The Project area was Kampala centre with the contract works including the following; • Design and Construction supervision of the construction of Nakivubo (4500m3/d) and Kinawataka (9000m3/d) wastewater treatments plants (WWTPs) which comprised of Pre-treatment units: Aerated Grit Chambers: Primary and Secondary Sedimentation Tanks: Trickling Filters: Anaerobic Sludge Digestors: Sludge Thickening and Dewatering units: Biogas Generation Units and Power House: Pump Houses: SCADA system control rooms: Piling and Micro piles installation. • Detailed design of Nakivubo Trunk Sewer line of 12Km and Kinawataka Trunk Sewer line of 18Km. • Preparation of tender documents and Assistance in Bidding Evaluation for the Construction of Nakivubo and Kinawataka wastewater treatments plants and Trunk Sewer lines • Construction supervision of new pressure main of about 3km with a pipe of DN 500 Ductile Iron • Preparation of Environmental Management Plan (EMP) and supervision of its implementation • Estimate the extent of Resettlement, Land and Asset Acquisition (RAP) and advise NWSC on compensation
